Balance: Standard to Low Middle
The bat itself is good, good pickup and pings nice but the grip started sliding up within minutes. The grip was used only for one practice session and one game and will most likely need to be replaced before next season. Lack of care taken with the stickers not put on properly and starting to lift off already.
Good bat, timber has a nice hue, generous bow, middle is slightly higher than I prefer but it suits the wickets I'm playing on. It picks up well, and the ball pings off from anywhere but the toe (as you'd expect). Recommended!
Coming back to cricket at over 40 I didn't want to spend a heap on a new bat. The Butterfly was a great option, ordered it Sunday night and it arrived to the door Wednesday. Look past the imperfections in the grain because these bats play as good as any.
Really like the look of this one, low middle, girthy through the interior, and chunky edges to suit. Pick up is impeccable. Can’t wait to get this one in the nets come pre season!
